Knowing I lov'd my books, he furnished me
From mine own library with volumes that
I prize above my dukedom.

William Shakespeare, "The Tempest" (c. 1610-1612), Act I, scene 2, line 165.

Books have always been very important for me. Mostly as stories - narratives, novels, short stories, comics, but also manuals, some history and a few biographies too.

While I ponder what to put in here about books, a small window on my LibraryThing "shelf" is probably the best way to give a taste of what I own and I am currently reading.

I also wrote a couple of extended book reviews (mostly in Italian), in case you are interested.

I recently found out about "Letters of Notes" a blog of letters and memo from famous authors.

In the words of his maintainer (Shaun Usher): "Letters of Note is an attempt to gather and sort fascinating letters, postcards, telegrams, faxes, and memos. Scans/photos where possible."
