Connie is my second contact that I got straight from Purpleport.

She had no specific theme for the session so I opted to go "by the calendar" and get inspired by the concept of Japanese Microseasons instead.

Front will say "鴻雁北" i-e- "Wild geese fly north", one of the mid-April microseasons.

With Wild Geese chosen as a Kigo…:

the sky turns overcast

Preparation Phase

A bit crestfallen after the fiasco with Fifi I went for an ultra-traditional plan.

Only black ink (apart from a little signature in red), torso only.

Connie explained that she only has two tattoos and neither of those required to be designed "around" so we easily found something that could work

I normally start with the back, but this time we went for the other way around. She sat on chair for the front, then she leaned against the desk for the back
Connie was extremely nice to work with, not just for her beauty and kindness but because - thanks to her own experience as a photographer - she suggested more than a few poses that I would have never tought of by myself.

Credit goes to her for the ones on the floor: she wanted to get the lights from the window to fall on her body.

And of course all the window poses were her idea, too
